Where we work
Insulation right across Queensland.
We service Brisbane and all of South East Queensland(Ipswich, Logan, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Moreton Bay, Redlands and the Lockyer & Somerset valleys), plus the regions out to Toowoomba, Gympie, the South Burnett and the Fraser Coast. It all runs from our own cellulose factory in Tiaro, so the insulation in your roof was made here in Queensland and blown in by a Comfort Zone franchise partner, an owner-operator running their own family business to our systems and standards, not a cheap subbie or a hired labourer paid by the job.

What QLD’s climate actually needs
SE QLD is climate zone 2, so we don’t oversell the R-value.
Brisbane and the South East Queensland coast sit in NCC climate zone 2, the warm-humid zone. The minimum added ceiling insulation the National Construction Code asks for here is about R2.5, modest, because the climate is mild compared with the cold southern states. We install around R3.0 cellulose as standard, roughly 20% over that minimum, which is plenty for this climate. There’s no point paying for a much bigger number Queensland’s weather doesn’t reward.
Up on the range and across the South Burnett tablelands (Toowoomba, Kingaroy, Nanango and the Granite Belt) you’re in the cooler Climate Zone 5, with genuine winter frosts, so the honest R-value to aim for is higher and underfloor insulation earns its keep. Far North Queensland is the tropical Zone 1. The right R-value changes with where your house sits, and we’ll tell you which applies to yours.

What we install across QLD
- Ceiling (cellulose): Seamless pump-in cellulose, made in our Tiaro factory, around R3.0.
- Underfloor (polyester): Hydrophobic polyester for homes on stumps: it sheds moisture rather than soaking it up, which suits QLD humidity.
- Owner-operators, not subbies: Done by a Comfort Zone franchise partner running their own family business to our systems and standards. Every job is photographed and the photos are checked before you're invoiced.
Genuinely-local area pages
Each region above is a real local page: the actual climate (summer maximums, winter frosts, your NCC zone), the house types we see, the subfloor reality of Queenslanders on stumps, and the homes we’ve already done nearby. Click any region to read the local detail, or open the customer map to zoom into your street.
Looking for franchisees in your area
We can’t reach every corner of Queensland on our own.
There’s far more demand across the state than one family can cover, so we’re opening exclusive franchise territories, backed by factory-direct cellulose from Tiaro and 40 years of systems. Come and see the factory, join the team, and run your own patch.
